No one can believe that 1 year (365 days) ago, the biggest evacuation in Alberta history, and one of the biggest wildfires in North American history, covering 589,552 hectares, (1,456,810 acres) happened. Since that fateful May day, the town has never been the same. The fire made us scared at the beginning, and strong at the end. It helped us become stronger than we could be in other ways. Today we had a tribute picture, it looks like this: Inline image 1

It says: DF STRONG. We were also allowed to wear hats in class for Hats on for Mental Health and the teachers got coffee. Today was a day for remembering, acknowledging, and moving on.
